Dr. Kapelusznik is a board certified infectious disease expert based in Philadelphia, who holds appointments at Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital, and is in private practice at Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Associates as an Infectious Disease Specialist. Dr. Kapelusznik has been a Principal Investigator on 13 studies in infection prevention, including 3 active studies related to COVID treatments. He has published dozens of studies, book chapters, and medical journal articles. In addition, he has presented at 18 conferences, 10 poster presentations of research data, published online courses, and has received 9 grants for his work in infectious disease. Dr. Kapelusznik was honored on “Top Doctor” lists 14 separate times by Philadelphia magazine, Main Line Today, and Castle Connolly. Dr. Kapelusznik is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, was educated in both Argentina and the United States, and did his residency at NYU and fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in NY. Before moving to Philadelphia, Dr. Kapelusznik was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Maryland’s Institute of Human Virology, under the direction of the current CDC director.
